As always thereis a huge financial motivation behind a new trend. Between the moment a typical consumer finds out about an app and the moment he installs it there is about 80% chance he will change his mind. That’s why most major brands: Starbucks, Tinder, Google Maps (maps.google.com), Uber, Instagram, Pinterest, Alibaba, Medium, GitHub Explorer, Offline Wikipedia, Forbes and even Microsoft’s online services, like Outlook.com, are now PWA-enabled. There are currently thousands of PWA-enabled websites, and more companies are enabling adaptive website controls with Service Workers to meet compatibility.

PWA is a in-browser app experience, that has a look and feel of an app and can load in a super-fast time. It’s a traditional web applications that is enhanced with modern web technologies, allowing it to provide a more app-like experience. It relies on Firebase for custom push notifications and have bookmark ability for a home screen-like app.
