The Amazon river is 14 times larger than St-Laurent!

Every year, from April to July, the Amazon river floods over one third of all the South American continent. Up to a 100 metres deep and 30 kilometres wide, the Amazon contains 20% of world fresh water. It’s endless network of rivers, lakes and wetlands is one of the most bio diverse ecosystems on the planet and is home to pink dolphins, manatees and giant otters.
